Windows 10: Windows 10 Startup issues

Hi,


I have a Old Lenovo T61 laptop with Windows 7. Recently battery is dead. Windows 7 worked perfect with dead battery. After updating to Windows 10, Laptop worked for 1 or 2 days. After that Windows 10 is not booting. The moment I press Start button, It goes till startup screen and immediately goes to Hibernate. If I remove dead battery from the laptop, every thing works perfect. If I put dead battery back, System will Hibernate. All this happens with power cord connected to power.


With power cord connected to power -

With dead battery :- Startup - Hibernate - Startup - Hibernate. So Laptop never Startup.

Dead battery removed from Laptop :- Every thing works perfect.


Windows thinks to Hibernate the system is better due to dead battery inside laptop. I hope some setting in Windows can resolve the behavior.

Startup issues since upgrading to Win 10

Thank you for using Windows 10.

I understand your concern and would suggest you to try performing "Startup Repair" and check if that helps. Here is the steps:

• Press and hold Shift key and click on Restart from login screen.
• Click on Troubleshoot.
• Select Advanced Options.
• Select Startup Repair and follow the on screen instructions.

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
