Windows 10: Windows 10 Sticky Notes Change Size When PC is Closed for the Night

Problem:

When my laptop cover has been closed and the computer inactivated for the night still powered; active hours set to 9am to 8pm, upon signing in each morning two or three of my seven open sticky notes have randomly enlarged in size and moved position. Note: The fonts remain the same size, unchanged, but the individual notes' windows have grown/moved and overlap in a disorganized manner. I have to resize the Sticky Notes windows first thing each morning, which is a growing annoyance each day.

Settings:

The sticky notes settings are all still default; I have never changed them since purchasing the computer a few months ago.

The resolution level on my monitor are still default, and they remain at the 'Recommended' levels:

150% for 'text, apps, and other items'

1920 x 1080 for 'Display Resolution'

Landscape for 'Display orientation'



Background:

All Windows Updates have automatically occurred without recorded problems.

Windows Update Troubleshooter reports no issues.

'Check for Updates' does not list any extant uninstalled required updates.

Both Windows Security and then Malwarebytes have been run/scanned with no problematic result or quarantines.

No other known problems are extant on this new computer; no relevant error messages are being generated.

Sticky Notes has been explicitly been sync'd in Sticky Notes' settings.

I will certainly help you with the issue you are facing with change of font size in sticky notes.



Is the issue specific to only sticky notes?



Kindly follow the steps to change screen resolution and check if it helps:

• 
  Right click on the desktop and select display settings.
  
• 
  Go to advanced display settings.
  
• 
  Then select “recommended resolution” under
  resolution option.

Sticky notes may have encountered a system file corruption that caused this. We suggest that you run the

Windows app troubleshooter for this issue. Meanwhile, we also recommend that you reset your Sticky Notes app by following the steps below:

• Click the Windows icon and click Settings.
• Click System, and then click Apps & features on the left menu.
• Click on Sticky Notes on the list found on your right menu, click
  Advanced options link, and click the Reset button.
• Click the Reset button again when you see the confirmation dialog to reset Sticky Notes app.
• Close the Settings window and check your Sticky Notes app.

Windows 10 sticky notes keep changes size

With the last update of Windows 10 I'm finding the size of the sticky notes windows changes when I go from dual monitor to single (laptop) monitor use - they grow much larger than the text in them.

There are many other changes which have made sticky notes less usable (loss of tab insert for example) but this is the worst. Is there any way to stop these from resizing.
