Windows 10: Windows 10 stops detecting 2nd monitor a moment after turning on my PC

I have a Displaport DP adapter that allows mi to conect a second screen with HDMI port, the problem is that when I turn on my pc it detects the 2ds screen image 1; everything seems ok and around 30s after that the screen connected to the DP turns green image 2; green screen for less than 1s and then Windows stops detecting it at all image 3; doesn't work at all.When I go to the Multiple display option and click it does not detects the 2dn screen, I have all the drivers I need and I verified all of them where updated, the display mode is set to Extend this displays. I don't k

Windows 10 stopped detecting 2nd monitor

I've restarted the computer (several times), and it's not showing any signs of detecting the 2nd monitor.

Ever since it stopped working, there's only '1' Display option; clicking 'Detect' in Multiple displays results in the message
"Didn't detect another display"; the Device Manager only lists one monitor (screenshot below); and it has stopped allowing me to select other projection modes unless I connect to the 2nd monitor wirelessly.

I'm using an HDMI cable for the 2nd monitor, and have tried both HDMI ports on the monitor unsuccessfully. The monitor models are Dell E2414H and LG 24J4840.

Windows 11 PC has stopped detecting 2nd display

Windows 11 PC - was connected to and using 2 monitors. One via HDMI directly into PC (only has one HDMI port), the other (2nd) via a USB C multi adapter (HDMI)
Had to disconnect 2nd monitor temporarily. When reconnected PC is unable to detect it.

Have checked all cable connections, replaced adapter (which is detected by PC and USB etc on it all working), multiple reboots, driver updates, Windows updates, BIOS update - anything and everything suggested anywhere I can find it - no joy.

Either monitor works direct from PC HDMI, both HDMI cables work - the whole system used to work.

Help, please!?

 

Windows 10 stopped detecting 2nd monitor

• Do you see your monitors under Display settings? To check, right-click on the blank area on your desktop and select Display settings.
• What projection option did you choose for your monitors? To check, press Windows + P on your keyboard.
• What is the make and model of your device?
• How are the monitors connected to your device? Examples of connections are VGA, HDMI, and DVI.

In the meantime, you can follow these steps on how to configure your other monitor on Windows 10. To do this, follow the steps below:

• Connect the secondary monitor to your laptop via VGA,
  DVI or HDMI port.
• Configure display settings. Right-click on the blank area of the desktop and choose
  Display settings.
• Click Identify to show numbers on corresponding displays (1 is the primary).
• Click the Multiple display drop-down list, and then select
  Extend these displays.
• Once done, restart your device to apply the changes and check if the issue persists.

Note: If you cannot see the additional monitor(s) listed. Click
Detect. If it does not work, try restarting your computer and do the steps of switch between display modes by pressing
Windows key + P key on your keyboard.
