Windows 10: Windows 10 Stops Recognizing Extra Monitor

I received help getting the extra larger monitor to connect back after the last windows update with the Device Manager. There was an issue with the driver. I disconnected the monitor and moved the laptop into another room for a day and now having the same issue. The computer is not recognizing the extra monitor with the "detect" feature. This is becoming frustrating. Any one tell me what I need to do to get this resoled or at least give me some direction on what I have to do EACH time I disconnect the laptop from the monitor.

To assist you better, I would like to ask if the laptop is unable to recognize only the external monitor or other external devices also.

I suggest you to run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter by following the steps below:

• Click on the Start button, and type “Troubleshooting” on the search bar.
• Click on “Hardware and Devices”.
• A pop-up will appear, click on the “Next” button and your hardware troubleshooting will start.

Hi,

I am using Samsung series 5 Ultra laptop. installed windows 10 and upgraded to office 2015.

my laptop suddenly stopped recognizing the external monitor (HDMI connection). checked on a few different cables and monitors but nothing happens.

anyone has any suggestion how to fix this problem?

Dual monitor not recognized windows 10

Downloaded Windows 10 but my extended desktop Dell monitor is not recognized. It works fine with 7.

Any suggestions?
