Windows 10: Windows 10 stuck on boot after factory reset

Hello,After a power outage which occurred while the computer was not turned on my GIGABYTE PC failed to boot multiple times, with rapid short beeping. After trying for several hours I managed to get past the POST with a single beep.I was able to use the PC without any issues for about 5 minutes until I got a BSOD. Afterwards I was caught in a bootloop with the IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL error. Then it was stuck in the boot after several restarts, with the loading dots spinning without any progress.I figured it's hopeless and did a complete local reinstall of Win 10 from safe mode with the optio

I suspect that option borked the installation, and so no other options can correct a corrupted system. Got data on it you want? Create a Linux distro boot USB (Mint is good), and boot into that to recover your data to an external storage source Download and create a Win 10 install boot USB and re-install. Make sure you delete EVERY partition, possible just before the copying of installation files starts. (Come back if you want step by step help)

 

How to factory reset Cisco 1700 Router

Hopefully I can help you here....its a very common thing to happen.


First, I take it you dont know the passwords for console access or telnet/ssh?

I will assume that these devices belong to you.

step 1. Plug a cisco console cable into a serial port on your pc
step 2. Plug other end into Cisco console port
step 3. Using hyperterm or putty or similar connect to the serial port
step 4. boot router, and make sure you clearly can see the output (this confirms you have good serial comms)
step 5. if this fails, adjust the comm port settings (9600, 8,1,n are the default)
step 6. now you have to do the only hard part...send the break command:

Go down the list and match your OS and SW and try the sequence suggested.

If this fails several times do what I do: Install putty (free) and then to send a break so you can get into rommom just hit "ctrl-a b".
