Windows 10: Windows 10 stucks, freezes and hangs sometimes

Windows 10 has been started lagging and hanging quite a time after windows 10 may 2004 update. I have the latest build i.e., 2004.





A month after the update and installing other cumulative updates, windows randomly starts freezing, although mouse cursor works but I can't click on any app icon to launch it. I know uninstalling the update might resolve the problem but I don't want to do any uninstallation of updates as it might make it worse.

Sometimes programs hang


Not sure what you are trying to prove by installing other software when you still having issues with this PC. Already said certain software like browsers worked. There are many reasons as shown before for hangs and freezes i posted a link from a website on it if you look back.

You installed this back last fall any thoughts on a clean custom install or reset of Windows 10 or a inplace repair upgrade i suggested but you never responded to it as this may solve the issues if with the operating system. Also system drivers updates which i mentioned and tried to get the exact motherboard so i can help you find them, again i never received this info, open the case look for exact model of the board as this can cause your issues, outdated and corrupt drivers. Sometimes issue can be conflicting drivers or software,but you never wanted to try even safe mode. Hard to help if you wish not to follow most of what is asked to do.

Up to you, most others are going to go through similar kinds of troubleshooting steps. You tend to jump over what is asked. I understand if you want to do it the way you want to do it, but just makes it more difficult for us to help you if you want the help.

 

Windows 10 stuck at black screen


hi, i tried upgrading my windows 7, but failed 5 times.
step 1 on copying files are 100%
step 2 installing features n updates are 100%
step 3 FAILED, it stuck on black screen and freeze, nothing i can do besides force restart and its restored to my windows 7 back.

any idea how to solve this? it's always stuck at 75% step 2 and when go to step 3 is freeze ( 5 times in row, i'm thinking give up or buy new laptop with windows 10*Biggrin*Biggrin*Biggrin)

p.s i'm currently downloading ISO file to blank DVD hopefully it's works
