  1. WINDOWS 10 STUFFED MY LAPTOP

I have been reading posts regarding Windows 10 issues I have been having on my PC. Back in approx Sept / Oct 2018 after an update my PC would not Boot into windows 10. I wasnt sure it was a windows issue at the time, and thought I may have gotten Malware or a Virus of some sort. I always ran AVAST PREMIUM. I researched solutions on the net using another Desktop PC ( running Windows 7 ) and found others having similar issues. I tried all the solutions offered, but nothing worked. I removed the Hard drive from the laptop and installed in my desk top and done every scan on it and coud not find any issues or virus in it. It said it is working fine. I reinstalled in laptop and still no good, same issue would not boot into windows, it says something like a "file is missing" or similar. Some solutions on the forums said I had to reinstall windows 10. So finally I did this, and also lost my Office 15 Installation that was installed when I purchased my Laptop and also lost other files as well. My laptop sort of worked for the next 2 weeks and then after another larger Windows 10 update, did the same thing again.

Windows 10 was reinstalled again a 2nd time, and once again I lost some files and apps etc, and since then my laptop logs on, but is as slow as a snail, everytime you want to open something whether its an App or searching the net, Facebook etc it takes up to sometimes, 5 mins to open and always displays " page is not responding," or the page flashes off and on as well. Even writing this complaint I constantly have freezes and to spell check a ONE WORD, takes about 20 seconds. I am self employed and use my laptop for my work at times through the day.

I now know that this issue is a Microsoft issue, caused by Microsoft, You have cost my about 150Hrs in lost time. I criticise my kids for liking apple products, IPADS, Macbooks etc but they NEVER EVER have issues like this and when on the net, they can open about 20 different pages to my one. You tube displays better on Apple Products, without freezing all the time & NOT RESPONDING MESSAGES. They laugh at me with my slow Microsoft Issues.

I refuse to buy office 365 when I already had OFFICE 15 doing everything I needed. I only lost it because of you "MICRSOFT !

Your System TROUBLE SHOOTER AND DIAGNOSTICS IS CRAP, it will say something simliar like "WINDOWS COULDN'T FIX THE PROBLEM or COULDN'T PERFORM OPERATION BECAUSE THEIR WAS A PROBLEM. I HAVE NEVER HAD IT FIX AN ISSUE YET.

YOU PEOPLE HAVE EVEN SUGGESTED THAT NO EXTRA VIRUS PROTECTION IS NEEDED PROVIDED UPDATES ARE INSTALLED WHEN AVAILABLE. WELL IF YOUR VIRUS PROTECTION IS LIKE YOUR DIAGNOSTICS OR TROUBLE SHOOTER, ITS CRAP!!

MY QUESTION IS TO YOU, "WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT " YOU CAUSED IT. I am seriously looking at getting Apple products myself now and also telling others to do the same.

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
