  1. Windows 10 suddenly refuses to connect to my bluetooth headphones

Starting from yesterday, my headphones first my airpods then my senso earbuds started refusing to connect to my windows 10 PC.

    Different symptoms encountered:

    1. It refuses to connect despite trying dozens of times
    2. Sometimes it would eventually connect, but would have 0 sound come out
    3. Other times it would connect but have extremely choppy sound
    4. Other times it would connect but have sound in one ear be delayed from the other.
    5. I tried removing the device and rediscovering it, and the computer couldn't even detect the device for 30minutes.
    6. One time I couldn't even disconnect it since it said "cannot disconnect device"
    7. Other times it would be very choppy for a few minutes and then disconnect by itself.
    8. I've seen it continue saying "connected" even long after I put the airpods back into the case and had them turn themselves off.
    9. Sometimes it would say connected voice, other times connected music, other times connected music and voice. Well it doesn't matter, either way it doesn't do anything
    10. Now it keeps saying "Please check PIN and try again". It never even _asked_ me for a pin. There was never a window popped up for me to input a pin. A pin doesnt even exist

    All the things I've tried:

    1. Restarted machine numerous times
    2. Turned off earbuds and on.
    3. Pulled out my bluetooth chip from desktop and put it back in 30 minutes later. Tried this numerous times
    4. Restarted bluetooth support service
    5. Removed bluetooth device and rediscovered dozens of times.
    6. Uninstalled all bluetooth drivers and reinstalled in device manager
    7. Tried a couple different usb ports
    8. Unplugged WIFI card
    9. Tried adding bluetooth through "join a bluetooth personal area network" same error
    10. Tried going through the windows bluetooth troubleshooter
    11. Restarted bluetooth services in the services manager
    12. Turned off hybrid sleep
    13. Restarted WLAN AutoConfig service
    14. restart-netadapter * -Confirm:$false
    15. Unplugged bluetooth card and waited for a few hours.
    16. Did windows update to latest/

Tried connecting the earphones to my phone and laptop, neither had any issues.

    Edit:

Tried another pair of earphones and they also couldn't connect to my windows.

Have spent a total of probably 10 hours over the past week trying to fix this issue.

    :)

    Bluetooth headphones suddenly stopped working.

    HI,

My Bluetooth headphones have suddenly stopped working. They were working fine this morning. The headphones are connected and I see it in devices + printers but I no longer see it in playback devices.

    Any ideas?

Iogear GBU521 Bluetooth Don. - Not Headphone Compatible on Windows 10?

    Windows 10 version 1903

Short story: Our Iogear GBU521 Bluetooth Dongle was used on a different PC running Windows 7 to connect headphones with good-quality sound. Now, on a Dell Inspiron 580 with Windows 10, we can't get the headphones to work with the same quality anymore.

Depth: All Windows drivers are downloadable on this page of Iogear's website: Product Drivers, Firmware & Software - IOGEAR
However, it appears as though the Windows 8/8.1/10 driver is really designed for 8 and 8.1 and not 10. That I conclude because the file name, "GBU521_GBU421_Win8_Win8.1_BT_v12.0.0.9980.zip", does not mention Windows 10, thus suggesting my bluetooth audio problems to be originating from a driver compatibility issue.

I've fiddled my life away with the following:
    • WinKey+R / "control panel" / Devices and Printer / (Insert Headphone Name) Properties / Services
    • Start / Settings / Devices / Audio
    • Start / Settings / System / Sound / Output / Troubleshoot
    • Settings within the Iogear bluetooth devices program, which comes with the driver on the aforementioned driver page.
And have gone through many settings that branch off this list, restarting the computer after each change made. Sometimes it connect with good sound quality, but does not retain this quality after breaking the bluetooth connection (turning the headphones off, restarting PC).

Quick side note: I have a new Microsoft Bluetooth 3600 Mouse connected to this dongle that works completely fine, unlike the headphones.

A solution requires the following results, which goes along the lines of how the bluetooth headphones were connected to this same Iogear dongle on the different PC that had Windows 7:
    • The bluetooth headphones play with decent quality
    • The volume retains it's setting whenever the bluetooth connection is broken by a PC restart, or powering off/on the headphones (I've encountered configurations where the headphones always resets to maximum volume).
    • The bluetooth mouse works fine. This shouldn't be much of a concern at all.
If we find no solutions, I will simply buy a dongle that works with Windows 10.

I can provide screenshots if needed.
    Thank-you.
