    Windows 10 suddenly so slow 10 mins to load chrome no exaggeration, timed it


    My windows 10 acer aspire xc-704 has randomly decided to stop working. It is literally unusable. Yesterday it was fine but this morning it has been extremely slow. It takes 3 mins to load anything even the search bar on the task bar. I really need help soon,

    Windows 10 home 64-bit

    intel N3150 processor

    intel HD graphics

    1TB hard drive

    4GB DDR3 memory


    This was a prebuilt computer btw

    Degradation here might have been gradual too but I cannot confirm... def not SSD speeds... something IS wrong. Here are some specs from mine...

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
