Windows 10 Support with Control Panel Recognizing and Receiving signal from microphone input

Hi there, I currently own a Windows 10 operated desktop that I constructed myself that has been running well for the past 3 years. I have used multiple microphones throughout this time period with no issues whatsoever, until about this year when I noticed that my desktop doesn't recognize the signal coming through this microphone. The model is an AOKEO AK-80 microphone, with a condenser included. The microphone itself has no issues because I have tested it on my laptop and several other desktops, and they all recognize the signal being inputted from this type of mic. The same goes for all of my old mics that used to work, the signals aren't being recognized either. In the sound portion of the control panel on windows 10, under the recording tab, the microphone plugged into the front pink microphone io slot is "recognized" by the control panel with a green checkmark for being a "Realtek High Definition Audio Device" Microphone. But testing the microphone sends no signals to be displayed to the right of this description^ (usually to quick test the levels there is a bar that increases in green color as the levels get high). The only way to see these signals displayed to the bars on the right would be if I were to double click on the mic, go to "listen", and check "listen to this device". I can fully hear any sort of input coming from the device, and with this box selected I can see the visual representation of audio being inputted (green bars shown on the "recording" tab of the original page mentioned^). But even with this box selected and me being able to physically see the audio and hear the audio, no recording software can actually pick up and record the audio given, such as audacity, reaper, and even discord for games there's no pick up of audio from my end. Any help to solve this problem would be fantastic, thanks.

    :)
