Windows 10: Windows 10 - switching to local admin account vs my Microsoft account - now my PC is fast...

I finally upgraded to windows 10 from window 7. Was extremely disappointed with how my old computer ran under windows 10. I was told that I needed to buy a solid state SSD if I wanted to get my speed back. Microcenter made that recommendation.Have been playing with tweaks to try to speed it up but nothing seemed to help much. I was also trying to see if I could turn off the login that my Microsoft Account kept requiring of me whenever I tried to use the computer. It's a home computer that only I use.I stumbled on the option to set up a local administrator account when I was poking around

Just simply log in with your Microsoft Account.
Switch to Microsoft Account in Windows 10

Just go back to using a local account:

Yea, I would create a local account and just use your school account to login to Outlook and Onedrive.

It's quite easy in fact, simply switch the account in question first to a local account, then switch back to a Microsoft account, this time using your wife's MS account credentials.

Notice that before doing this you need to remove the new additional MS account on the PC, the one you created with her credentials. Windows allows only one user account for each email address, if the new account exists you cannot switch the original administrator account to an MS account using the same email address.
