Windows 10: Windows 10, system not is detecting disk's partition, but detects disk as online.

I ran cmd from windows boot installer from flash drive. The missing partition has windows in it. When i type diskpart then "select disk 1" disk 1 has windows and then "list partition", it gives me "There are no partitions on this disk to show." How to get disk detected by Windows?

I have a solid state drive that is not showing in device manager, yet it is detected in the BIOS and works fine on a Linux live image. How do I get Windows to detect and use the device?

Here's what I've tried already:

1. reformat the disk
   
2. zero the disk
   
3. install manufacturer drivers
   
4. swap SATA cables
   

 

Help! GTP partitions not detected.

I was really dumb.
Windows asked me to initialize the disk... I didn't see GPT on the list so I selected MBR. I realize now that GUID = GPT. *Frown *Frown *Frown ... did this erase my partitions?

i dont know how to fix your disk management, but i can fix your partition problems...




open up Command Prompt with admin rights. (Right click, run as admin)


enter in
DISKPART
list disk

then find the Disk number for your Raid array... lets call it number 7 ( you can tell what disk is what by the total size)
type in

Select Disk 7
List Partition (will give you a list of all the partitions..)
Select Partition 1 (im assuming you only have 1 partition on Disk 7) repeat this step if you have more partitions.
ASSIGN


that should get the array up and running ready to use.
