Windows 10: Windows 10 System Tray Icon hidden from normal taskbar, but able to see it from expend taskbar.

Hi all, I have recently encounter this bug which I have tried everything I could do from searching online for methods to fix but still able to resolve this issue. The below is the showcase of the issue.

Grey out arrow key to the right, it will disappear after mouse hover away from the arrow key and never reappear again


As you can see, that the Image 1 of the Bluetooth icon is not showing on default view of a taskbar. But on Image 2 is from a expand taskbar and clearly the Bluetooth icon is there. Image 3 is an arrow key but it is unable to click grey out.

Fixes that I have tried and still not working:
1 Explorer.exe restart.

2 Registry Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\TrayNotify delete IconStreams & PastIconsStream and then restart Computer.

I no longer see icons in my taskbar icon tray. Moreover, when I click on "Customize" under either "Show hidden icons" or through Control Panel, I no longer see the listing of "Icons" and "Behaviors." I also do not see the options to turn system icons on
or off, or to revert to the default settings.

This just occured after I did something to relocate the whole taskbar. I was able to movee it back to the bottom ot the screen but the icon tray is no longer functioning.

Are you referring to the clock system icon on the taskbar?

If so, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

• 
  Click on the search bar on the taskbar.
  
• 
  Type system icons.
  
• 
  Under Turn System Icons ON or OFF, turn On the Clock and check with the issue.
