Windows 10: Windows 10 tab key pressing automatically comes and goes, but it is very bad now,

My windows 10 tab key is getting pressed automatically until I press any key. This does not happen at startup/booting when I enter my login pin. And this happens even when I booted up in Safe Mode. When I click the Task Bar, the Task Bar Icons are selected automatically, like as if the Tab key is pressed continuously, but the pressing is automatic. There is no dirt on my keyboard, it is clean. I opened a notepad to check if the Tab key is stuck mechanically, but it is not stuck tab not running wild in notepad.Also when I use Chrome or Edge browser, the selection jumps between the browser Tab

My windows 10 tab key is getting pressed automatically until I press any key. This happens after soon after Desktop screen is loaded after boot, but it does not continue after I press any key. Real problem comes when I am not able to put my laptop into sleep mode.

As soon as my laptop goes to sleep it wakes up again automatically , I think this tab is waking up laptop without my interference.

Dude, go to Newegg right now and read the questions and answers tab on Windows 10 OEM. The OEM copies that are listed there DO in fact, come on an optical disc. The flash drive ONLY comes on Retail copies.

i have the very same issue as OP descibed, except for the sleep mode as im not using it.

It all started with this:
My SSD drive died so i had to get a new drive and reinstall WIN 10 on it. This has happened not even 2 months ago.
Since then i have the same Problem as OP, which leads me to think that it definitely has to do with a windows update that i didnt have on my old system (before the SSD died)

When i open a browser for example and press a key (doesnt matter which key) tab gets automatically triggered. The triggering keeps on going until i press a key again. Then it stops and the keyboard works perfectly fine for the current session.
All this happens only right after the boot. And it happens EVERY time after the boot.
It also happens on the desktop from time to time when i select or double click a file/item/shortcut/whatever with the mouse.
When i click on something on the desktop tab gets triggered automatically until i press a button on the keyboard. This does not happen often but it still happens. Also just right after the boot.

I tried another Keyboard. Same problem.
I tried install the original driver from the manufacturer
i tried uninstall all keyboard drivers - restarted PC etc.
i tried the solution by generating a .reg file like in the video Greg posted
i also tried a few other "solutions" from Grags list and from other places on the internet
I had several virus scans - nothing found.

Absolutely nothing worked so far and it pisses me off. It's frustrating and annoying.
I'm pretty sure it came with a win update in the past but i cant tell which one.
