Windows 10: Windows 10 Tablet

Whats up guys?

So i just bought an Insigina Windows 10 Tablet. its pretty nice actually. Its got 32GB of storage, Intel Atom quad core @ 1.6GHz, 2 GB DDR3 1333MHz RAM, and a 9" 1920x1200 IPS Display. Anyway, Out of the box it came with Windows 10 Home 32bit. i was thinking about upgrading it to Windows 10 Pro 64bit. I have an extra copy, but do you guys think it would be worth it for the performance improvement?

In win10 i changed my Startup menu to win 8 version. How to go back to win10 version

Try turning Tablet Mode off/on as required.

Connect windows 10 tablet to windows 10 server

Server is Windows 10 Pro. Bought Windows 10 tablet. It cannot see server to connect to, but server sees tablet. How do connect tablet to server? How do i change credentials to allow tablet to connect?

 

You might not be able to with a tablet. I would say if it works, don't fix it.

 

I don't think you would see that much improvement with 64 bit over 32 bit, but if you really wanted to try it, unless you need the extra features of Pro why not just switch to 64 bit Windows 10 Home and save the space that is required for the Pro features that you likely won't be using?

No matter what you do or do not do the very first thing I would recommend is make an image of the eMMC "hard drive" to a USB or SD Card with a good program like Macrium Reflect Free so you can restore everything if you choose to.

 

alright. i decided to stick with windows home 32. however, now im having an issue with microsoft store taking FOREVER to connect and download games and apps. a 5mb app to 45 mins to download. how can i fix this?

 

Many tablets use a 32bit boot loader built into tablet, and cannot boot from a 64bit install without a firmware change (usually unofficial), even though the Atom supports 64 bit. If tablet came with 32bit, that is a clue but not conclusive though. Linx tablets for example have this restriction.

Besides with only 2 GB RAM, 32bit is really better (although some limitations)

 

There won't be a performance benefit. Both OSes run the same on identical hardware (assuming you have 4 GB or less memory, which you do). No reason to waste a license on that tablet if it is already running Windows 10.

 

owell, tried to do it anyway cause im bored, but it wont even let me boot from my USB flash drive. it just bumps me back into windows. at least i tried. lol
