Windows 10: Windows 10 taskbar not showing app icons after move

tldr: Taskbar is not showing app icons after directory move. These are portable apps.Example: How to reproduce the issue:1. I have a bunch of portable apps under C:\Programs\ The example in the photo is Git Bash: C:\Programs\Git\git-bash.exe2. I decided to organize the apps in the folder and moved them into subfolders: So git now lives under: C:\Programs\-Code\Git\git-bash.exe3. After doing that, Windows taskbar stopped showing icons when any of the apps is running.Observations:1. If you navigate to the folder where the actual app is, then windows explorer is showing the correct icon.2. I

Windows APPS ICON NOT SHOWING PROPERLY on taskbar


It's been couple of days since I upgraded my system to Windows 10 from Windows 7. Everything is working fine except this nasty error. If I pin apps to taskbar or run apps , the app icons on the taskbar are shown as white square. And I am seeing the same thing on Apps & Feature settings list. The icons are there but as the backgrounds are shown as grey-white chequered pattern (for the transparency ), it looks like white squares. Rebuilt the icon cache but to no avail.



And on the start menu everything looks fine.

Are you referring to the clock system icon on the taskbar?

If so, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

• 
  Click on the search bar on the taskbar.
  
• 
  Type system icons.
  
• 
  Under Turn System Icons ON or OFF, turn On the Clock and check with the issue.

Feature suggestion: Add Windows 7 Taskbar icon GPU freq./temperature/RAM used meter

Please add an option (which will also require an Options/Settings screen however, or else the main menu will be too cluttered) to have the GPU freq., temperature, videoRAM used and/or maybe GPU load shown in the program taskbar icon on Windows 7.
It could have two options - cycle between modes (for example about each 10 seconds), or always show the same value - for example, GPU temp or load/etc.
See how Core Temp does this for an example. (WinZIP also shows such a meter when decompressing archives.)
