Windows 10: Windows 10 taskbar Search no longer saving recent *documents*

Within the last week of so, I've noticed that when I use the Windows 10 taskbar Search button to find things, it no longer shows my recent *documents*. If I search for and find an app, then the next time I use the Search button, that app is indeed shown under the pop-up pane's "Recent" heading. But if I search for and find a document, then that document won't be shown under "Recent" the next time I use the Search button.This is new behavior. Windows Search button has always retained my recently searched-for-and-found documents. This is convenient, as I can just click on them to open the

Windows 11 taskbar search no longer searches the web

Until a recent update, the magnifying glass icon available for the taskbar searched both the web and the local computer/network. Now, it no longer searches the web. At the top of the widgets area, there is a search the web field, but I really want the ability to search from the icon on the taskbar. Suggestions?

When I right click on Taskbar, there is no "Search" in the list.

 

Recent Documents / App Win 10

in previous windows we can set how many recent document/apps to be listed, where is this setting in windows 10 ?

and how to clear recent document (word/excel) from the taskbar icon right click menu ? i've try to click the "remove from this list" menu, but it's not removed

and before i've many pinned document, and the other recent document still showed, but in win 10 the other recent document not available unless i remove some pinned document
