Windows 10: Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 10061 now available

That's the smartest thing to do. 10056 is a disposable build. *Smile

Nope. While it was preparing to install 10061, I quickly made an ISO and thumb drive and clicked on restart! *Wink
I wasn't gonna stick around to find out if it would work or not!

 

Probably not, Shootout. The "fast ring" gets the new build first, but without an ISO. Once Microsoft has things working like they want, then the "slow ring" gets to update or download the ISO. That's the way it was until Build 10049, which had problems of its own; thus, no ISO or slow ring for it.

I think this is a known issue, Winuser. Look at the article Shawn posted at the beginning of this thread.

 

Actually I still have it, too. I will wipe it out this weekend. *Smile I will replace it with 10061 clean install.

Anybody notice the 'Taskview' side panels expand a bit when choosing an additional Desktop?
(Don't know if it did that in previous builds)

 

It's not yet time for that.. it also appeared on 10056.

Download was fastest of all downloads yet.
Problem with none of the start menu icons working to open any of the applications.
Problem with email not importing any of my 4 email accounts that were set up and active in previous version.
None of my programs-including those built into windows- will launch which you have identified in your introduction to the build. Very frustrating.

 

Looks like no one else is having this issue so I will just do a clean install in the morning..
