  1. Windows 10 thinks I'm across the country?

    xposted from r/windows

So the default/automatic time on my computer has been wrong for a couple weeks now, and I finally figured out it is because my computer thinks it is in Minnesota, instead of Utah. When I use Chrome and ask "where am I" it gives me results within a couple miles of where I actually am.

I have tried manually changing the time zone from Central to Mountain Time, but it automatically switches back to Central. I've tried doing advanced settings, but it tells me to contact my computer administrator (I am the admin), and it won't allow me to run the settings as an admin. I have gone into the maps app and overridden my default location, but it still believes I'm across the country.

I can manually change the time on my computer, but when I try to schedule Zoom meetings or doctors appointments, or really anything online, it gets really janky and the times are always different.

I've looked all over the internet for help, but nothing I've found has worked. Any suggestions?

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

Unlocked Realtek HD Audio Drivers Windows 7 & 8 (With Dolby Digital Live and DTS Interactive)
