Windows 10: Windows 10 This PC Available Drives not showing my External flash drive

Because my computer is not showing my flash drive as it did on Windows 7, I cannot enable the restore previous versions on it. Right click This PC for Properties, click System Protection - see Protection Settings for Available Drives - there listed is NOT the flash drive as it used to be. New laptop, flash drive only 1-2 months old, Lexar 32G. Answer?

Hi,

By default, Windows will recognize an external hard drive or a flash drive as “Local Disk” if the storage device was not configured and has no label on it. To resolve your concern, we recommend that you may put a label on your storage devices using
the Disk Management Tool in Computer Management. To do this, follow the steps below:

• Right-click the Start button and select Computer
  Management.
• Under Storage, select Disk Management.
• Physical drive letters are shown including the partition, right-click on each drive and select
  Properties.
• Name your storage device or put a label on it.
• Click Apply.
• Use File Explorer to view your external devices or flash drive with a label on it.

Hello

I Have an 1TB Toshiba 3.0 external hard drive. What happen is if plugged in my External hard drive in my Windows 10 PC, the name wont appear. It just show as "Local Disk". It also happened on my 32GB Sandisk Flash Drive. Please help me. This is very annoying.

To understand the issue better, let me know where exactly the Music is saved on? Is it on the CD's or External Hard drive?

Step 1:

If it is on the CD's, you may have to copy it the computer first and then copy it the Flash Drive. I suggest you to refer the article to know how to copy music from CD's to computer.

Step 2:

After copying the music to the computer, to move it to the Flash Drive Follow these steps.

• Select the required songs and
  right-click on it.
• Select copy.
• Go to the Flash drive and right-click on Free Space.
• Select Paste.
