Windows 10: Windows 10 Tips and Common Issues Help

Hello community! I wanted to make this post to help the fellow users out there with common issues in Windows 10 and some tips to make Windows more convenient. This would also help with first time Windows users to better get used to a PC device.




Windows Tips/Common problems

1. Is the blue-light affecting you when your doing work and leading to hurting eyes? Try using Night Light located in action center to provide less stress on your eyes. You can also change the color of the filter by right clicking Night Light and heading to settings.


2. Are some apps not opening or crashing? Try going in settings, apps, Apps & features, click the app in which isn't responding, Advanced options, and press Reset. Information including Email may have to be added again due the the reset process.

3. Want to get apps on your computer? Apps can be found in the Microsoft Store located on your taskbar and in your apps section. Browse thousands of apps for your computer including major companies apps including Hulu or Netflix. Video games can also be found in the app store to receive gaming apps for your computer. All Apps varies in price and compatibly. Check the required specs for the relating app to see if your computer match the required specs.

4. Downloading updates but failing to install? Troubleshooting is a great way to possibly help with your update issue. You can reach that by heading to settings, search Troubleshoot in the search section, click Troubleshoot and the app should pop up. As you click Troubleshoot, click Windows Update to begin the action. This would pop the troubleshooter to further help with finding the issues with updating. This should help with update issues, If you have further problems, contact Microsoft and create a question in community for Windows professional's to further help you regarding your issue. Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
