AMD drivers on Windows 10?

I have a question about the Windows 10. I have Windows 7 SP1 and have the
AMD Radeon™ HD 4000 series graphics card. Will there be any updated drivers for it from Windows Update? After Windows 10 launches on July 29. Thanks

 

Upgrade end of July to windows 10 and discovered dell 968 printer won't work.

Thank you for your reply, appreciate the time taken by you in keeping us updated on the status of the issue.

This issue may arise due to printer’s driver incompatibility with Windows 10. Compatibility mode runs the program using settings from a previous version of Windows.

I suggest you to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if it helps.
To do so kindly follow the below given steps:

• Right click on printer’s driver that you have downloaded from manufacturer website.
  
• Click/tap on Properties.
• Check the Run this program in Compatibility mode for under
  Compatibility tab
• Select Windows 8.1/8 from the drop down under
  Compatibility mode section.
• Click on Apply and Ok.
• Install the drivers, restart PC and check if issue is resolved.

Would the launch date already be set in stone. I would think such problems as with the Lumina phones could cause some delays. Of course the builds we are seeing are so far behind and so buggy it is hard to imagine Microsoft is anywhere close to a release.

 

Yes,, the drop dead date has been already set. MS, like other software companies, can't have a sliding date.. it's set in stone. Trust me on this.. having been in IT for over 20 years I know what a drop dead date entails. *Wink

 

There is probably some wiggle room at this point, 3 months out... Also, it's not clear what "ship" Means here.. RTM? Or actual release? Typically, MS needs a couple of months to get disks printed, boxed, and shipped to stores...

 

If launch == RTM then my lotto entry is looking real good *Smile

 

What bugs are you talking about. . .That is nothing more then a broad statement about nothing. . .

 

remember MS are in the 10100's builds no one has seen them they should be better than the builds we have seen like 10056

There are definitely parts that are unfinished, but I wouldn't call it buggy; in fact it amazingly stable considering. If it's buggy for you, it's likely an issue with your system not Win 10.

 

How in the world did the press know about the conference call and their details? I though those conversation are suppose to be private.

 

Maybe the "financial analysts" were supposed to think AMD will get a shot in the arm and pass the info on? *Wink

Edit: Either that or someone forgot to shut off the speaker phone again. *Smile

 

It sounds like the general public is going to be getting in on the fun real soon.

 

Could be.. I suspect August but July would be fine with me.
