    Windows 10 TP for phones released


    I am enjoying Windows 10 on my desktop but have been reluctant to try it on my Lumia 635 because of some of the negative results reported. I take that you had no problem resetting?

    Rich Actually, I had a huge error using the 'Windows Phone Recovery Tool', BSOD on the PC and my Phone went blank, scared the shite outta me!
    Restarted the PC and Phone then used the 'Lumia Software Recovery Tool' with no problem. @ , you said you were forced to uprade to Denim before 10, can you not do the upgrade again and force stop it after Denim upgrade? *Smile Ummm, stupid me, I thought about that after the fact; when the Denim update was done, I didn't bother looking all over the place to see what improvements there were! *Sad
    You're not gonna make me try again are ya???! *Wink

    I've got the Denim update plus Cortana on my Lumia but as it's just the first entry level one, the 520, it's not included in the list. My phone is nearly 2 years old now and I'm due to upgrade I think in May, not sure which model I'll be able to get it will depend on price.

    Edit: Just checked and I can upgrade from the 10th April.

    I may stick with my 1520 for a while. The only reason I got a Windows Phone is because I got tired of Android. And I never liked iOS. Ubuntu phone sounds interesting though.

    It's my first, too. *Smile Do you use Pushpin apps? It's a version of Pushbullet for WP. You can push anything (links, photos, docs) to your desktop through pushbullet browser extension. I like it a lot.

    Just stumbled on this cuz Gabe was tweetin about it.
    A 'Special Reset' for Windows Phones, not sure what phones it applies to though.
    Seems to work; resets the phone to factory but saves and re-syncs your data all in one shot.
    On the phone keypad enter ##777#
