Windows 10 Trim app lowers quality of the video, adding tearing and green frames. Fix?

Hey.My Windows Trim stopped woking properly. After trimming any video, the framerate drops significantly, starts tearing heavily and adds some green frames. Rendering and trimming the same videos in other rendering apps works fine, so im certain its not my gfx card.Anyone knows where i should start troubleshooting or potentially fixing this?

    :)

Trim (maybe others edit actions) video reduce quality

I try to trim a simple video i recorded by Nvidia Share with Photos App, the orginal quality is 1080p 60fps, but the trimmed video has only 30fps, and the bitrate is greatly reduced. First i just simple open it with Photos and click the trim video, the output
is only 30fps. Then i try to create a new video project in Photos app and add it to new project to trim it then export, the app show the option output is only the resolution quality, i choose 1080p but the output is still the same ( 30fps , worse bitrate).

What should i do to keep the current quality of the trim video ? Does the Photos have that features ? , if not i recommend adding it in the next update, like the old Movie Maker i used to use which have different qualities output including keeping the current
    quality

Also why cant i find the Photos category ?

  3. Trimming videos in Windows Films & TV/Photos app automatically adds a filter and lowers the quality?

Recently (like in the last couple weeks) the layout of the default video trimmer changed on my Windows 10 PC, it used to look extremely similar to the default video player except that the scrubbing bar was replaced with a trimmer bar. Now both the trimmer bar and the video preview are smaller and there's a button that offers to "Edit in Clipchamp". Ever since this change, whenever I trim a video, the trimmed version appears very high-contrast compared to before, and the quality is much lower (more pixellated, etc). It's basically deep frying my videos whenever I trim them.

(I would attach screenshots but my attempts to upload images aren't loading for some reason.)

    I have already:

    1) Tried going into Photos settings, installing Photos Legacy, and using that instead (the layout is still different to what I'm familiar with, and it does the same thing. I checked in the Photos Legacy settings and turned off 'automatic video encoding', no change.)

    2) Checked all my drivers are up to date and I'm on the latest Windows Update.

    3) Spoken to a Microsoft support chat person and investigated (no help), uninstalled my newest Windows update and checked to see if that helped (didn't).

    4) Uninstalled/reinstalled Films & TV and Photos apps.

    5) Gone into Settings>Video Playback, and ensured that 'Automatically enhance videos' was turned off (it was).

This isn't a big problem but as I casually screenrecord a lot of videos and then clip them, it's noticeable and annoying. I don't want to download a big fancy video editor app and have to start a project just to quickly trim clips, the same way I don't want to open Photoshop and make a .psd every time I want to crop an image. I can't find any information about anyone else experiencing this anywhere. My video editor just randomly changed layout and functionality one day, and seemingly there's no way to reverse it; all I want is to easily view and adjust the length of my videos.

Is there a simple fix for this anywhere, or is this just a new issue with Photos to try and push people towards using Clipchamp for videos? (And if so, is there a free, simple alternative video viewer like Films & TV or Windows Media Player that offers a lossless trimming function?)

Photos app - trim a video - error

Hello, I am trying to use the built-in Windows 10 Photos app to trim a video. I have the video playing in the Photos app and click "Trim Video" at the top. I move the sliders to select the start and end points. I click "Save a copy" at top-right. The app says "It looks as though you don't have permissions to save changes to this file. Try saving a copy instead." Having just clicked "Save a copy", I am confused as to why this error message is appearing. I've tried copying the .mp4 to my VIDEOS folder on C: drive with the same result. Some research has suggested to run the Photos app as Administrator, but I can't figure out how to do that. Any suggestions on how to trim a video would be appreciated! Thanks,
