Windows 10: Windows 10 Unable to change network adapter properties

I have a problem with Windows 10 network adapter settings. First saving changes to the settings lead to an error message and after running Network reset all adapters disappeared.


I have a PC with Windows 10 image and three network adapters. When the image was first installed the network adapters were configured with correct IP addresses and they worked properly. Now a few months later it is not possible to change the settings anymore.


The first problem was that after changing network adapter IP address and closing the properties pop-up an error occurred and the changes were not saved:"An unexpected condition occurred. Not all of your requested changes in settings could be made".


After running "Network Reset" all network adapters disappeared. I uninstalled all network adapter drivers, scanned for hardware changes and the drivers appeared but the adapters are not appearing even if I restart PC.



I checked HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Network\Connections and it was ok.


I run netcfg -v -u dni_dne but it did not help.


I tried to remove Config key from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Network. But there is no Config key. I checked from an identical working PC with the same Windows 10 image and it did not have the Config key either so I assume it is not required for network adapters to work properly?

What should I do? How can I get the network adapters back?

Press Windows Key + R, type secpol.msc and press Enter to run it. In Local Security Policy window, go to the Network List Manager Policies in the left pane. Now in the right pane double click on the network name that you want to change. In the Properties windows under the Name section make sure that Name is selected. Now in the input field enter the name that you wish to use for your connection. Click Apply then OK to save the changes. And you might have to log in again or to restart your computer before the changes are applied.

but i solve it, just change your MAC Address to another company and the adapter name will change !!
