Windows 10: Windows 10 Unable to Detect External Monitor

Device:Lenovo Xiaoxin 13 Pro, Graphics: AMD 4800, connecting to an external monitor through a USB-C-HDMI adaptorDescription:Installed a new Windows 10 system recently Win10 Ed 64-bit. Everything functioned well for a couple of days but not working at the moment.The monitor functions normally through the same adaptor on other devices.There is only one monitor option under display-advanced display settings.Attempts:Has tried to download the newest driver from AMD website, didn't work;Has tried AMD Driver Detection Tool, unable to detect an AMD device;Has tried Device Manager enable and disable

External Monitor not detected

I am running windows 10 on a MacBook Pro using bootcamp. I use a imac as an external monitor. Windows cannot "detect" the monitor. using a firewire connection, which works splendidly under OS. Any suggestions?

 

Connecting to external monitor

I just upgraded to Windows 10, but am unable to connect my Lenovo X1 Carbon to an external monitor (tried two separate monitors). Before it would automatically detect the monitor, now it only has 1 listed when I go into Settings / Display. I found the "Windows
button + P" option online, but when I highlight Duplicate or Extend I am unable to "select" or "enter" them.

How can I make Windows detect my external monitor? (I am using the same cord that has always worked to connect my monitor before.) Thanks!

 

Laptop can't detect external monitor

Sorry for the late response, but if I do not have another PC, is the only option to wait to get the new updates and within those new updates, my laptop will be able to detect my external monitor.

It might sound rude and if so I'm sorry because you're the expert here and I barely know anything about computers but my external monitor worked perfectly until I rested my laptop. Do you think it has something to do with that because if the version 1803
made my laptop unable to detect my external monitor, shouldn't my monitor not work from the beginning, before I rested my laptop but now it did. Only after the reset made it so my laptop was unable to detect my external monitor.

So do you think the reset maybe deleted some files so that my laptop no longer is able to detect my monitor?
