Windows 10: Windows 10 unable to find the Print Test Page in Settings

I followed everyone's answers to "Answered Problems" in regards to accessing the "Print Test Page" to verify print connectivity from a Windows 10 computer to a printer.

Everyone says Go to Start > Settings > Devices > Printers and Scanners. The claim then is that you can right click the printer and choose Print Test Page. This is not true.

Another claim is that you have to install the printer, however, the printer is already installed.

Finally another states that by going to Start > Settings > Devices > Printers and Scanners, at the bottom of the page is "Devices & printers", but alas it is not.

Sad thing is, EVERYONE of these threads is locked with a wrong answer. None of them give the correct path to "Print Test Page"

I did find though that if I use the search bar in the bottom left of my computer next to the "Start Button" I can type Control Panel and have a Windows 7 style Control Panel which I can then go to Devices and Printers and after selecting the printer I can right click on it and choose Print Test Page.


I hope this helps someone, because I was getting NO help from Microsoft Forums.

Printing web pages in Windows 10

• Are you able to print via Internet Explorer 11?
• What kind of contents and extensions do you want to print?

I suggest you to perform the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps:

Method 1: I suggest you to follow the steps below to print documents in the Windows 10 Edge browser and check if it helps:

• 
  Once the document is open in Edge, press
  Ctrl+P or More actions button at the top last end of the browser.
  
• 
  Click Print as PDF button.
  
• 
  Check if the document prints as expected.
  

If the above steps did not work, try the next methods.

Method 2: Set your printer as default.

• 
  Press Windows key and type
  Control Panel.
  
• 
  Click on view by and select large icons.
  
• 
  Open Devices and printers.
  
• 
  Right click on your printer and select set a default printer.

Unable to print test page and from other applications on Windows 10

Old title: Strange behavior of Print Test Page

I have a brand new HP M277dw network printer connected to home WLAN. It works perfectly with computers running Windows 7 and Windows 8.3. However, I still have a problem of using it from a Windows 10 desktop where printing does not work from any application
(including MS Office 2010 applications) EXCEPT for printing from Microsoft Edge and "HP AiO Printer Remote."

Yet, the strangest thing is the bizarre behavior of "Printer Properties / Print Test Page" button:

When I activate the "Printer Properties" from the "Devices and Printers" panel, after pressing the "Print Test Page" button I obtain the message "Test page failed to print. Would you like to view the print troubleshooter for assistance?" If I furthermore click
on "Yes," I finally obtain that "troubleshooting couldn't identify the problem."

But, when I activate the same "Printer Properties" from the "Printer Management" panel, the test page is perfectly printed after pressing the "Print Test Page."

Is there an explanation for it? Is there a possibility of having two copies of "Printer Properties" apparently having a difference in some invisible parameters? Or the two test page printings are done in different environments? Any help is welcome.

I also noticed that printing from my Windows 10 applications does work if the application is started from the administrator profile. It may happen that it has something with permissions, but I cannot figure which permissions are spoiled.

My text test page prints fine but I do not see any color graphics to tell me if the color is printing fine. I am have problems with the colors and would like to see a test page
