Windows 10: Windows 10 - Unable to read Blu-Ray disk in Blu-Ray drive.

I am running Win 10 Pro Build 19042.685


I have an LG blu-ray player installed in the machine.


The drive will recognize audio CD/ data/media DVD's but not Blu-Ray disks. I put a BR in the drive, close the drive and the drive pops open with an "Insert disk in drive" pop up on the screen.


I've manually gone into computer management and triggered a drive update, but it returns with the the driver is already the best available.


There are no conflicting services/applications that I can find.


I'm using CyberLink PowerDVD as the Blu-Ray player, but it does not see the disk either.


What are my next troubleshooting steps?

How to play Blu-Rays

Thanks for the suggestion. Seems to be a good program.

I uninstalled the drive from device manager, let win7 reinstall it.

Checked that it did not fix the issue, so checked on the drives properties

and found this;

I tried to search the internet but found nothing related to my issue.

I've used the Leawo Blu-ray Player from that list with no problems
