Windows 10: Windows 10 - Unable to sign in for XBOX app AND "immersive settings" crashes on launch

Can't sign in to xbox app on windows 10 laptop

Hi,

A corrupted file is one of the possible reasons as to why you can't sign in to the Xbox app on Windows 10. Changing some the network settings can help to resolve the issue. To change your network settings, kindly follow the steps below:

• Press the Windows key on your keyboard, and then type
  Internet Options in the search box.
• Click the Connections tab, and then click on the
  LAN settings button.
• Uncheck Use a proxy server for your LAN, and then check
  Automatically detect settings.
• Click OK, and then click OK
  again to save the settings.
• Launch Xbox app and sign in again.

If you still unable to sign in to Xbox app, kindly reset the app from the Settings menu by performing the following steps:

• Press the Windows key on your keyboard, and then click the Settings icon.
• Select System, and then select
  Apps & features.
• Find the game, and then click on Advanced options.
• Click Reset.
• Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

Xbox app closes on launch

• Has any new software or hardware been added recently? No.
• Did you also change any settings prior to this issue? No.
• Is there any error message? None.
• For the Xbox app issue, have you also tried the suggestions posted by Syed Md Bilal in this thread?
  Quite a few people found it helpful. - I did try this (for the Xbox and Photos app) and it made absolutely no difference.

I'd appreciate any additional suggestions. I'm still unable to use either the Xbox or Photos app. I'd really like to use them.

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the Xbox app on your computer and check.
Follow the steps provided below.

• 
  Type Windows Powershell in search box.
  
• 
  Right click on Windows Powershell and select
  Run as administrator.
  
• 
  Copy and paste the following command.
  
  • get-appxpackage *Microsoft.XboxApp* | remove-appxpackage
• 
  Press Enter key.
  

After uninstalling the Xbox app, I suggest you to download and install the app again and check.
