Windows 10: Windows 10 unable to update to version 1909, error code 0xc1900107

I just subscribed to the Xbox Game Passit looks really tantalizing during a hot summer and found out that I have to update Windows 10 to the newest version. Problem I've had is that I can't update it, with the Game Pass launcher's program to help install it giving me error code 0xc1900107, and the Windows Update in the system configurations getting to 100% and then failing, with the response of "We can't install some updates because other updates are in progress. Restarting your computer may help, and we'll keep trying to update."


It's rather frustrating because I can't touch anything in the Game Pass until I update Windows, and I really don't want to reinstall the whole OS.
