  1. Windows 10: unlocking screen to enter password using space bar

    Hi there,

When I first installed Windows 10, I noticed that I can unlock my screen to enter password just by pressing the space bar button. Sometime later on, without asking, the system switched back on to the old type "Ctr+Alt+Del" version of unlocking the screen. So I now want to go back and be able to unlock my screen for password entry using space bar button instead of traditional "Ctr+Alt+Del".

Searched everything within my computer. I could find anything EXCEPT what I need. There is even a menu called "Locking screen", but nothing on "Unlocking screen". Searched Windows on-line help and again could not find an answer to my question. Maybe I'm not doing the right search...

Appreciate if you could advice me on the way to resolve my above-mentioned issue.

    Best regards,

    Aydin

    :)

Windows 10: unlocking screen to enter password using space bar

    Windows 10 lock screen password

We appreciate the details that you've provided. We suggest that you remove the lock screen password by following the steps below:

    • On the Windows search bar, type in Netplwiz and select the top most result. This window gives you access to Windows user accounts and many password controls.
    • Right at the top is a checkmark next to the option labeled Users must enter a username and password to use this computer.
      Uncheck that.
    • Click Apply and it will prompt you for your current password. Enter it twice. The next time you reboot, or your PC wakes up from a nap, you’ll no longer need to type in your password.

    Let us know the results.
