Windows 10: Windows 10 update 1703

I found this update this morning. It has been "installing" now for 3 hours and sees to be in a loop where it shows Dowloading Updates, Preparing to install updates, then goes back to Downloading Updates. Is this a loop or wilI it complete?

When I upgraded to 1703 a few days ago, there was an initial download that downloaded the majority of the updates, then it seemed to do some installation/preparation, then it downloaded some more. I surmised that the secondary download was probably the latest updates to 1703.

Still, your post was over five hours ago, so I suppose my reply is probably moot by now. Hope it worked out for you, though. *Smile

 

After leaving the machine on overnight to let update run automatically it finally completed taking nearly 6 hours. Obviously I need more patience

Is it just me or is Windows becoming a behemoth? With so many variations they could at least cater for those that have lesser bandwidth... Smaller ISO (no store stuff .. and just security updates)
