Windows 10: Windows 10 Update 2004 automatically aborted during installation, and the update package...

I'll explain more. It was installing normally (im talking about the blue boot screen where it shows installation progress) it was at 49%, then few minutes later i checked the screen and there was a black screen with " Failure configuring Windows updates. Reverting changes"



I have no idea why that happened. Could anybody point out potential reasons on why that occurs? i have 30gb free on my C drive, and my pc was connected to the internet during installation. But really what bothered me is that when my pc booted again, the download files of update 2004 got totally wiped and i gotta re-download them again but i live in a area with very slow internet, and i don't know even if re download them i'll show me that failure during installation message again.

1. Is there a way how to fix the update installation automatically aborting midway?
2. Is there a way to download 2004 update from a browser and save it on a hard drive, like an offline distribution?

windows automatic updates

i have some questions about the windows automatic updates in windows xp pro w sp/2. ive got about forty updates they recommend , mostly for security but i only installed two today. after installing them i found them in my add/remove programs in the control panel, if i add all these updates that is a lot of space on my hd almost 1 gig. i thought that updates just updated files and not created new programs. should i innore all these update suggestions from microsoft?
