  1. Windows 10 update and Ancestory Family tree software

My mother in laws computer recently updated to Windows 10 and all of the computer software has been deleted. I cant see a quick fix as she didn't back up the system regularly. Im presuming reinstalling the software- Office, Family tree etc is the only option?

Second question, I reinstalled the family tree software which isn't opening and running. It displays the following message:

When I go int the event log to see the issue, the following message is displayed: Microsoft.Practices.CompositeUI.EventBroker.EventTopicException' occurred and was caught.

    Message: HandlingInstanceID: 0ef2fff7-a1ff-416f-9b93-eae6f864e1c4
