Windows 10: Windows 10 update and my main programs won't run- missing .dll file message and reinstall

Hi everyone,


hopefully someone can help me....all of the windows updates give me missing .dll file messages and state that I have to reinstall the programs. I have had this happen every windows 10 update and have had to go back to the earlier build every time. I have so many programs I would have to redownload and re-register that the process seems daunting. It could take me possibly up to two days of work to get everything running etc if I had to do this.



My computer builder told me to wipe the disc clean and then reinstall windows 7 and go from there, but I've seen on another posting that someone did something similar and they ended up taking it back to the builder for a re-set.


My rebuilder is over 1000 kil. away-Brisbane to Sydney is a big distance, and the money would be a very big price I am sure.


Has anyone got any possible solutions?


My computer builder told me I could have a Trojan somewhere causing this when I update, but I've scanned using Windows Defender and SpyHunter, and my free AVG anti virus gave me a clean bill of health.

Windows updates won't install!

Thank you very much! This did the trick:

Click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then click OK.
b. At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER:
net stop wuauserv

2. Register the Wups2.dll file. To do this, follow these steps:
a. At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER:
regsvr32 %windir%\system32\wups2.dll
b. Click OK on each verification message that you receive.

3. Type the following command at the command prompt, and then press ENTER:
net start wuauserv
4. Exit the command prompt. To do this type exit, and then press ENTER.

missing mfc110.dll file, can not run program

Hi,

hopefully this is the correct place to ask this question.

I'm trying to run a program created by boise cascade called bc calc and it keeps telling me that i'm missing

a file called mfc110.dll

the program ran just fine before an automatic update and I can't seem to go to a previous version. also, I can't seem to find where I can find a link to download this missing piece of the program. I have tried uninstalling the program and reinstalling
it with no success. tried updating windows 10 and rechecking for updates with the same result.

Missing MSVCP100.dll files

Since Windows 8 update to Windows 10, AVG Antivirus/Internet Security 2013 misses some DLL to start :

• MSVCR100.dll
• MSVCP100.dll

I managed to solve this problem by clicking right on AVG icon, selecting "Open file location" (it opens a window with all AVG files), double clicking on "upgrade.exe" (with AVG logo). A message shows that AVG protection was disabled by Windows 10. Click on
start an update to get AVG 2015. That's all!
