Windows 10: Windows 10 update - Apple System??

Hey all, hoping to get some advice from someone who knows more about all of this than I do.


I've got a Lenovo thinkpad yoga 260 that was a mandatory buy for everyone within my graduate schoolspecific medical path. Up until graduation this past May, the school's IT team had each of our laptops integrated into the school's systems - I don't know how to say that any better. Anyway, after graduation, I didn't use my laptop extremely often and am starting to use it more as I'm starting a small business. I've been trying to tidy everything up on it and am completely unable to update Windows 10. The update that it says it needs to download it "Apple Inc. - System - 7/26/2018 12:00:00 AM - 6.1.7000.0" and it constantly says Status: Downloading, but it doesn't ever make any progress at all. I've completed all of my updates through the Lenovo System Updater. The only Apple anything that I could think of that maybe I've tried to put on this laptop was iTunes, which I didn't have until half an hour ago. I installed it just to see if it would make any difference and it did not.


Does anyone have any insight for me about this pesky update? I'm not sure what to do at this point. Thanks in advance!

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Well just noticed a pretty large one pop up coming in at 914MB, seems it makes some pretty serous updates.

Creative X-Fi Soundcards and Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1709 = Complete Disaster / Not Working

Thank you for trying to help , i did tried your suggestion but it did not work :/ , nothing seems to make it work on Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1709. In the meantime i have bought a new SoundBlasterX AE-5 and it did installed flawlessly , no problems whatsoever. it is up to Creative ( drivers ) and Microsoft ( bug fix ) to fix this huge bugs with Audio.
