Windows 10: Windows 10 update broke internet connection. Error - No Internet, Secured

I have Dell inspiron 15R and it has Qualcomm Atheros 1705 wifi device.
On 29 Aug 2019, some windows updates were installed on my laptop automatically.
Below are the 4 updates that were installed on the PC on that day,
1. Security update for Microsoft Windows (KB4507435)
2. Security update for Microsoft Windows (KB4509094)
3. Security update for Adobe Flash Player
4. Update for Microsoft Windows (KB4346084)

That broke my wifi connection and I always got the yellow triangle on wifi sign in systray, saying "No Internet, Secured". Also, same issue was there even by connecting to ethernet by LAN cable. So that means I was out of internet connection totally.
I tried updating the latest network driver from dell site. It did not help. I tried all the things that Microsoft or Dell has specified on their sites, and also I tried various other suggestions on other sites. Nothing worked. I uninstalled the updates from my machine which were installed on that day or later. Still the problem was there.
I finally used Reset this PC option on recovery settings. That did solve the problem.
I had faced the same issue one month back when some major update was done, that happens every 6 months. That time by rolling back that update, the problem was solved, but not at this time.
Currently my PC is showing following in windows updates
2019-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4512501) Pending restart
I am worried this will break my internet again.

I also have another Dell laptop Latitude 3440, which also has same wifi device of atheros 1705. Following updates were installed on it on 30 Aug 2019. Those updates broke the internet connection on that laptop too. Same issue like on first PC. All suggestions failed and rollback also failed. Now I have to use Reset this PC option. But that is ridiculous.


Below are the 3 updates that were installed on this second PC on that day, which has caused the broken internet.

1. Security update for Microsoft Windows KB4503286
2. Security update for Adobe Flash Player
3. Update for Microsoft Windows (KB4346084)

As a hint, if you see, both PCs got 2 updates common. one update for windows KB4346084, and another for adobe flash player.


Please look into the problem and provide some firm solution. Internet connection to PC is like lifeline. So please help to solve the issue.

windows 10 update broke my internet


I installed 2019-06 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64 (KB4502584) and it broke my internet. Sometimes i cant connect to my wifi and when i can i have no internet. I tested it with different wifi, different drivers and reset them and is the Update.
How can i fix it, i can pause it but not forever. It keep installing when i search for updates so any suggestion is welcomed. Thanks

I m using HP envy 3090nr laptop having windows 7 home premium.

I was using norton internet security previously which was very good, no virus problem so far.

But i want to know any other internet security which is better or similar and free?

Give your suggestions for best free as well as best paid internet security.

Also give your opinion for microsoft security essentials.

I suggest you to follow the below methods and check if it helps.



Method 1:

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Internet connection. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your internet.

Refer these steps:

• 
  Press Windows key +X, select Control panel
  
• 
  Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
  
• 
  Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
  
• 
  Run the Internet Connection troubleshooter
  

Method 2:

Try updating the Network Adapter drivers from the manufacturer's website and check if the issue persists.

Follow the steps to update the Network Adapter drivers:

  Press Windows key + X key and click Device Manager.

  Expand Network Adapter.
  
• 
  Right-click on the Ethernet and click on Update driver software.
  
• 
  Restart the computer and check.
  

Check if it helps.
