Windows 10: Windows 10 update broke laptop

So I was going about my day on the laptop, a program required a restart to finish updating so I click the windows key, click on the power icon and click Restart.

Now what I didn't know that this will start an update. Since for some reason there was a issue with Windows 10 that caused the update to get stuck at 53% every time it attempted to update, I was forced to shut down my laptop yet again (with the power button) but this time it would not boot.

All it does now is just make a click in my headphones every few seconds and the screen turns off. And it turns back on after a couple of seconds, even though it's black all the time.


Is it possible to save my laptop or is it all over because of Windows 10?

I suggest creating a backup image of your os drive

Method 1: Try updating the Video card drivers and check if it helps.



Follow the steps to update the Video card driver:

• Press Windows Key + X key and click Device Manager.
• Expand ‘Display Adapters’.
• Right-click on the Video card listed and click on ‘Update Driver Software’.

Method 2: Try installing the game in Compatibility mode and check.



Follow the steps to install in Compatibility mode:

• Right click the Game setup file and select Properties then tap or click the Compatibility tab.
• Place a check in the Run this program in compatibility mode for: box.
• Tap or click the drop down box and select a previous operating system, then tap or click OK.
• Try installing the Game and check.

If still the issue persist then I suggest you to follow the suggestion provided by crazzilla replied on August 3, 2015 from the below link and check if it helps.
