Windows 10: Windows 10 Update broken after motherboard, CPU and ram changer.

I recently changed my motherboard, CPU and ram which caused my previous windows 10 activation break. I did go through troubleshoot and it activated itself again. Everything else works fine except for windows update gives error when checking for update. I tried reinstalling fresh windows 10 but it still gives me this error. Does anyone know how to fix it? Thank you in advance.

I want to change my motherboard, cpu and ram.

Can i change my motherboard,cpu and ram without re-installing windows or loosing the license.

Currently i have Intel CPU and i want to change it to Ryzen cpu.

 

Motherboard or RAM

Sounds like the board doesn't like to use an XMP with that RAM.

Running the RAM at the default frequency may be better than unreliable operation at its rated frequency.

You may be able to improve matters by manually setting the voltage and timings, especially if the motherboard is fussy when all 8 DIMM slots are filled.

Just curious: is the RAM on the QVL for the board, for 8 DIMMs? (Not being on the list doesn't suggest a problem, but listed RAM should have no trouble.)

Sorry that I can't offer more solid receommendations. I used to run a P9X79 Pro (with 4 DIMMs), but retired it a few years ago. (My hobby is assembling my own PCs, rather than doing useful work with them.)

 

Digital license won't reactivate on new hardware (motherboard, cpu ram)

Hello,

I have a digital license of Windows 10 that is linked to my Windows account. I've just replaced my motherboard, cpu and ram and whenever I attempt to reactivate my license the activation troubleshoot says "Unable to activate Windows, We can't reactivate Windows
on this device, Try again later.

Prior to changing my hardware I double checked my digital license, The activation said "Windows is activated with a digital license linked to your Microsoft account"

If I run 'winver' It also lists the produced is licensed to my Microsoft account.

According to this article below, All I should have to do is goto the activation troubleshooter and everything should work.
