Windows 10: Windows 10 update caused our Software stop working

Our Software was full working on windows 10, but it's update (probably one of its update during last 2 months) caused our software stop working.


Error we see is "The xyz.dll was not found in the application startup directory or on the system executable path".


if we press ok we see another error appears which later automatically disappear

"Error occurred in initializing application: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt".


Any solution please ?

How to stop Windows 10 from automatically installing new and updated drivers constantly (particularly for GPU users with stable drivers)

• Right click "My Computer"
• Click "Properties"
• Click on "Hardware" tab
• Click "Device Installation Settings"
• Tick the "No, let me choose what to do"
• Tick "Never install driver software from Windows Update"

That doesn't stop windows update from grabbing them on next run, at least it didn't back in the RTM days. It simply stops a secondary process from installing them immediately.

 

Windows update caused my keyboard to stop working

The keyboard failure probably happened coincidentally with the update rather than being caused by it. You can find out like so:

• Turn the machine on.
• Wait until the spinning circle appears, then press the power button for 10 seconds to turn the laptop off.
• Repeat the above steps three times. This will get you into Repair Mode.
• Go to advanced options, then select the Command Prompt.
• Check each and every keyboard key.

I think you will find that the problem keys still do not work, even though the current mode is not affected by the recent update. You probably have to replace the keyboard.
