I have had my PC on auto update since I built it in June 2020. I have never had any problems with it auto updating and I know there are security updates daily. There's an update that requires my PC to restart, and when it does restart, it makes it to 100% then the frowny face comes up and says there was a problem, restarting now. I was unable to get to the login screen when this happened, so I was forced to do a fresh OS install and I lost everything, so we're back to square one. When I went to install the latest updates after I got signed back into my account on the fresh install, it happened again. Luckily I got back into the login screen but this latest optional update I can't remember the build number, I will update this post later with that. It did mention something about drivers that weren't recognized or something like that released March 16, 2021 and it's been nothing but trouble. I also wanted to add that when I got signed back in, automatic repair kicked in while the PC was restarting and a windows help article loaded from Microsoft Edge saying "It looks like the latest windows update you installed caused the PC to reboot improperly. We uninstalled this for you" To me, it sounds like an issue that's known by Microsoft. Lastly, there was never a printer added to this PC, so I know it's not related to the recent printer BSOD. I will now only automatically update once every 30 days, to limit my exposure to Microsoft updates that can potentially destroy all of the data you had on your PC with BSOD.

    :)
