Windows 10: windows 10 update changed my logon password

Discus and support windows 10 update changed my logon password in Windows 10 Updates and Activation to solve the problem; windows 10 did an automatic update last night.     windows 10 update changed my logon password


    windows 10 did an automatic update last night. When I booted up this morning, my pc would not recognize my password. tried login.live.com. to no avail. What is going on?

    My problem is when ever I start windows 10 it takes me to the logon screen my name and Hotmail email address. Why do I have to have a email address to logon to windows 10. Before I upgraded to windows 10 I had a phrase for my password in window 7, without
    any email attached. Why can I just use a phrase for my password? Instead of connecting it to a email account. That way whenever, I want to change my email account password I have to also change the logon screen password also Why? How can I get around the
    situation ??

    I don't understand your reply to "Change Windows 10 logon password". Not the password for Microsoft Account but the first screen to logon to Windows10.
