Windows 10: Windows 10 update download uses entire bandwidth

Hi all,Whenever windows downloads updates, it always uses the entire internet bandwidth. Due to this, I can't even check emails ,even antivirus can't download updates and it takes many hours before I can finally use the PC. I find this a big pain that I can't even do basic stuff online and have to keep the PC switched on just to download the updates!!! Is there any way to limit the bandwidth used by the update download. I have tried the option mentioned here,http://superuser.com/questions/10392...adb1?auth=1But still windows ignores it and I am helpless. I am not looking forward to install 3rd party software to limit the bandwidth due to snooping/privacy concerns.

It was issue related to Windows 10 update. Window 10 was updating in background using my entire bandwidth to update it, providing very bandwidth to other apps like browser etc.Even after update to window 10. I have to stop window update service every time
so that I can used my browsers with best spped. Worst experience from Microsoft. They started fooling their customer.

even more annoying to have little or no control over when these downloads take place.

Any way to limit bandwidth usage on Windows 10 update downloads so that other applications run at a reasonable speed, or to set the timing of such downloads?

Selecting the metered connection option helps a bit, but there should be a more direct method.

Still not a fan of Windows 10.

Thanks for the reply.Well, I really don't want to block updates. All I want is to limit the bandwidth used by the update without using third party software. I have a 2 mbps connection.

3rd party tool. Windows per se is an OS. It can't provide every feature people want.
