    Hi,


    I've had a virus a few months ago and after getting rid of it, Windows Defender has stopped working and so did the Updates.


    I've been having the 0x80070424 error when I try updating. Even after resetting, doing a clean reinstall of Windows 10, deleting all my files, and just about all the other fixes I read online, nothing seems to work and I don't know what to do now. There are some fixes that I tried but can't to due to missing files from the system, I think.


    I would really appreciate some help, thank you.

    After starting all listed services, the windows update still gives me the same error (0x80070424). Downloading and executing the update gives me this error:
