Windows 10: WINDOWS 10 UPDATE FAILED 0x80070652

I have been going CRAZY trying to get my computer to update to 20h2. every time I try to reset / reinstall windows I am given a different error code but mostly I get a 0xC1900101 - 0x20017 error. I check the device manager and it tells me ALL drivers are up to date. I was looking around these forms and came apon a post that told to look at the setuperr.log and setupact.log for the error messages. Setupact says:2021-05-27 07:19:54, Info UI Determining whether we should run ConX or legacy setup 2021-05-27 07:19:54, Info UI Will launch ConX setup experien

Anniversary to Creator update fails with 0x80070652?

So, I have a problem on 1 machine. With the upgrade assistant the update stops with error code 0x80070652

Running from usb drive from windows it looks okay and reboots a few times, but at the last step it just shuts off. After restarting theres a quick error I did not catch and it reverted to previous installation.

This is on a almost fresh install on a new intel nuc. Any ideas?

I installed the creators update on an old acer tablet (32 bit) and that worked just fine.

When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.

 

Windows Updates failed to instal

I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time
