    Windows 10 update fails and reboots every night


    HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!


    I have a Windows 10 desktop and for the past couple of months, my computer has rebooted every night trying to update what seems like version 20H2.


    below is the image of my windows update dialog box that has been there every day after the attempted update.


    If I reboot now it shows the update taking place then reboot. Upon startup, it says the update failed and within ten minutes of signing in ai will get a new update requirement icon on my taskbar and the below information back again.


    I have tried new antivirus software and a couple of workarounds from this site but no love.


    PLEASE SOMEONE PROVIDE A SOLUTION SO I CAN STOP LOSING MY WORK!!!!!

    Windows 10 fails to update


    When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

    Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

    I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.

    Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) will not install

    Maybe try with the Windows update mini-tool, found here http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/t...dows-10-automatic-updates-and-spyware.218745/ , thanks to Mussels. it installed perfectly for me last night.

    Windows Updates failed to instal

    I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time
