Windows 10: Windows 10 Update Fails to Recognize HDMI Displays

Windows 10 Pro version 21H2 update earlier this week. After the update the HDMI port with external display is unrecognized. Trying to pick Device Driver in Devins manger window is a fail. Windows only recognized motherboard graphic driver and ignores external monitor. I had a Samsung Montoir B2230 and thought it might just be too old. HDMI to VGA adapter. No updated driver from Samsung.Bought new HP M27F Monitor.. Downloaded newest driver. Same issue. Windows will not recognize the monitor and will not allow me to pick the driver for this Montor. Will only allow me to pick internal computer g

When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.

Sorry to know that the HDMI display fails to work on Windows 10. I will certainly help you.

This issue might occur if the drivers are corrupted, incompatible or due to hardware problems.

I suggest you to follow the steps recommended by Deepak Krishnan on December 27, 2015
from below link on similar issue and check if it resolves the issue.
