Windows 10: Windows 10 update frozen whole of Laptop at 73%

Windows update has frozen the whole of my New Laptop when installing the latest windows update.

Update has been stopped at 73% for over 4 hours now.

Cannot even turn PC off or use anything on it just have a small blue circle which arrived at the same time as windows update hung at 73%.

Nothing is working at all the clock, battery percentage, date browsers nothing works at all. All stopped at at 22.50 on 11/03/2020

Please can anyone tell me how to get my PC out of this frozen/ hung state

no, you can't go back..
I suggest creating a backup image of your os drive
