Windows 10: windows 10 update has stopped wifi working via my extender

I have a HP beatsaudio laptop, it has just installed the windows 10 anniversary update, due to the location of my office I use a wireless extender since this update has installed I cannot get any internet connection via this, if I diagnose this it tells me the IP address is invalid? its fine if I move closer to the main router and connect direct to this instead of the extender! also all other devices Phone I Pad printers work OK just this lap top any ideas*cry

extend wifi range from windows ethernet

Hey guyz

Please help me out in setting up the network on window 10 to extend the wifi range

1. I have a window 10 laptop connected to the Wifi internet of the building

2. i have a old wifi modem connected to the pc through ethernet (lan) port

( my modem has only one LAN Port )

Now what i want to do is to connect the pc and the old wifi modem with ethernet cable and then share the wifi internet to modem via windows so that modem can further extend the wifi range.

please let me know if it possible.

 

Windows 10 update

Since I've updated to the latest version of Windiws 10 on my Dell Inspiron laptop, my WiFi connection has stopped working. I try to turn it on via Settings but it just doesn't connect. Anyone else had the same problem?
