Windows 10: Windows 10 Update Interruption

I was doing an update for Windows 10 on my laptop, and I had to leave the room. When I came back, my cat had jumped up onto the keyboard which stopped the update. Now I get nothing on my laptop. especially the cat! How can I recover my programming?

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Well just noticed a pretty large one pop up coming in at 914MB, seems it makes some pretty serous updates.

Help with Hardware Interrupts

To use Krview, ignore any driver that is part of Windows or that is for the CPU idle thread.
inteppm is for the CPU idle thread, ignore it.
hal and ntkrnlpa are part of Windows, ignore them.
ati2mtag is the first one on the list that is elevated and relevant.
Find out what hardware interrupt it uses and then any device that shares this interrupt could be the problem. It might not be ati2mtag.
If its the video driver, can you use another card?
Putting the computer to sleep might reset things.
